Family Storytime

6:30 PM - 7:15 PM

Event Details

This storytime is for families with children 0–5 years old. Family Storytime is designed to provide you and your child with a time to enjoy reading books together while incorporating early literacy and school readiness activities.

Spend quality time together as you enjoy stories, lap songs, fingerplays, singing, and dancing. Each session includes 25–30 minutes of group interaction followed by an opportunity for you and your child to play, talk, and read together. We encourage participation in our group setting as we explore language and movement!

All of the programs offered by the children’s library staff are designed to create an environment that will reinforce children’s natural love of reading and storytelling. Our mission is to assist parents and caregivers in the important developmental task of building a foundation for lifelong literacy. In our programs, this is done using an age-appropriate combination of books, music, rhymes, and interactive fingerplays. We welcome you to call or explore our website if you have any questions about the programs or services we offer.

No registration is required.
