in-beTWEEN: Cat Café

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Event Details

Calling all 4th through 7th graders! in-beTWEEN is a program for you to hang out with friends, make some cool projects, and enjoy some time set aside just for you.

In February, tweens can experience JCPL's first-ever cat café. In partnership with Jessamine County Animal Care and Control, adoptable cats will visit the library to spend time with cat-loving tweens.

While you're here, make cat toys to donate to the animal shelter. Also, a variety of Japanese sodas will be available for you to try as a way to honor the popularity of cat cafés in Japan!

This program involves interacting with live animals. Those with health concerns or allergies are advised to consider this when registering.

Tweens under 11 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Younger siblings are encouraged to bring an activity or book to occupy them during this tween-only program.

Registration is required.  Please complete a registration for each child individually.
