Are you an animal lover? Do you enjoy learning interesting facts about animals and seeing them up close and in person? Join us for JCPL's Animal Academy, an interactive, hands-on opportunity to meet and learn about all kinds of animals—from species you can find in your own backyard to those found around the world—in ways you never have before.
In September, Allie Barnett from Justin's Place will introduce participants to the important work they are doing. Justin's Place is a therapeutic farm in Wilmore serving
extraordinary children ages 3-12 with disabilities and more. Come learn the
ways that animals can help children reach their developmental goals and improve
overall quality of life. Special visit from Dixie the pony and Charlotte the
pig.
This program is geared towards elementary-aged children and their parents/caregivers. No registration is required.
